Ensure to give our team your current & accessible email address as all booking communications + deposit information is sent via email. 

Kalon Hair Wellness sends a reminder email along side a reminder text messages to your mobile number to remind you about your next appointment 24 business hours prior to your booking. This gives our guests sufficient time to change or cancel their appointments with enough notice to avoid any fees.


Some selected service may require a pre-paid deposit to secure your booking. If you have made a booking that requires a deposit an automatic email will be sent to you prior to your service day.

Please note - If a deposit is required we request all deposits are paid within 12 hours of receiving payment information to secure your booking. 


How does a deposit work?

All pre-paid deposits go towards the service you have booked in for with the remaining balance to be paid on the day of service in-store. 

Is a Deposit refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable. Depending on the circumstance of cancelation (please read below) your deposit can be used as a store credit for product or service purchases. There is no expiry on a store credit deposit. 

What if i cancel my booking inside your 24 hour cancellation policy timeframe?

Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your booking within 24 hours prior to your appointment. 

What if i cancel my booking outside of your 24 hour cancellation policy timeframe?

Deposits will be used as a credit towards your next booking should you need to cancel the original booking outside of the 24 hour notice period. 

Is a deposit refundable if i change my mind?

Deposits are non-refundable once a booking is made & will always go towards a credit on your account for a future appointment. 


We respect that your time is valuable & we appreciate that you understand as we are a small boutique salon our time we invest in your booking is valuable too.

We understand that situations arise unexpectedly & as a courtesy we will give this full consideration.

When making an appointment with Kalon Hair Wellness you agree to our Booking Agreement and accept our terms and conditions which includes our Cancellation Policy.

We have a 24-business-hour cancellation policy. 

Any cancellations that occur 24-business-hours or more before the scheduled appointment time are able to be re-booked at no additional cost or fees applied.

How can i contact you to cancel or alter a booking?

Cancellations can be made by calling the salon during business hours on 03 88214732 or Text 0478661294 additionally via if cancelling after hours.

Cancellations that have not made a pre-paid deposit and occur within the 24-hour period will be referred to our Salon Manager & will result in a cancelled booking fee being applied, 10% of the total of the services booked Monday-Friday, 15% on a Saturday. 

Any guests who make a booking & fail to be present for their appointment (and failed to contact the salon to cancel their appointment) will result in a cancelled booking fee of 50% of the total services booked. 

Kalon Hair Wellness does not issue refunds for cancelled appointments or ‘no shows’ (a ‘no show’ is where you make an appointment & fail to show up or contact us to cancel).

Any guests that are a ‘no show’ will be required to pay the cancellation fee & in addition will be required to pay a deposit before booking any future appointments.

If you keep your booking but cancel some of the services that you booked for (for example; you booked for a cut & colour but decide to only get your haircut & cancel your colour) you must also give us 24 hours notice to cancel services booked. Failure to do so with sufficient notice may result in a 15% cancellation fee for the services that was originally booked for.

Why is a cancellation fee applied? A cancellation fee is to assist in covering a fraction of the overheads & staff wages for the time that your appointment was booked for. Late cancellations do not give us the time required to fill your appointment time therefore results in significant loss for small business. We reinforce our rights under the Office of Fair Trading act. This policy will ensure the sustainability & longevity of Kalon Hair Wellness & clients enjoy their maximum time with us in the salon. 

Some circumstances where we may charge you a ‘no show’ or cancellation fee include:

  • where your appointment clashed with another commitment (inconvenience)
  • where it was difficult for you to attend your appointment (difficulty); or
  • where you can no longer afford the cost of the appointment (expense)


Exceptions are made for guests that have had to deal with something unexpected & out of their control.

If a cancellation fee is incurred, this will be required to be paid before booking your next appointment. If you would like to book over the phone we will send you a secure booking link to made a pre-paid deposit to secure your next booking.

By doing this you agree on any fees or deposits being charged to your card. Kalon Hair Wellness will always be upfront and clear about any charges made to your card.
