Air Dry your hair when possible

Air Dry your hair when possible

Depending on what brand of hair dryer you use these tools can hit 100’C and higher. That is some serious high temperatures hitting your strands anywhere from 1-4 times a week not to mention the heat tools that follow once the hair is completely dry to curl, straighten or create lush waves.

This amount of frequent heat can cause some serious damage to your hair causing dryness, brittleness & lack of lustre. We aren't saying no heat tools, it's all about balance right, but if we can reduce the amount of times we use our tools we will reduce damage resulting in a healthier lustrous mane.

Just say hair wash days are Sunday & Thursday followed by a heat tool to seal the deal, on Sunday’s straight out of the shower towel dry your hair really well. Wrap your hair in a towel or microfiber towel for 20 minutes, then take your hair out of the towel and apply 4-6 sprays of your Melu Heat Protector, brush through evenly and let your hair full dry naturally.

In the winter months we recommend grabbing another dry towel to wrap your hair up in until your hair is fully dry.

Once your hair is 100% dry then you can go ahead with your heat tools and trust us, you will notice the difference in shine and lustre!
